Our spacious casita is attractively furnished and suitable for two persons. The casita is 125 m from our casa and therefore there is complete privacy and tranquility. It features indoor and outdoor seating and dining areas and a comfortable King size bed. From your own terrace you can enjoy the rising sun in the mountains with a cup of coffee. The kitchen has sufficient facilities to prepare your own meal. For the colder periods there is a pellet stove, for the warmer periods there is air conditioning, a ceiling fan and the windows have blinds. The bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower. Bath and bed linen is included in the price.
In Casa Maliyaa we think it is important to use ecological cleaning products, shower gel and toilet paper to preserve our nature. The cleaning products in the casita are biodegradable and therefore the waste water can be used to water our fruit trees. Water is scarce in Andalusia and that is why we are economical in our use of water. We consciously deal with the reuse of water where possible.
As an extra service, we offer to pick up the first groceries before breakfast, so that you do not have to think about this on the day of arrival. There are two packages to choose from and for a fee we will ensure that it is in the fridge.
Casa Maliyaa is located in an authentic spot in the Spanish countryside where you can relax completely in peace.
Aborginal art is a very important part of our lives and it is therefore not surprising that Casa Maliyaa is dedicated to this special art. Our art is a beautiful addition to the Spanish landscape. They reinforce each other. Especially the natural tones have the same colour palette as the land in our Axarquía region. It gives atmosphere and warmth and it brings these two worlds together nicely.

The minimum stay is 3 nights.
After booking you will receive a booking confirmation and the invoice with the bank details.
A deposit of 25% must be paid within 7 days. Once the deposit has been received, you will receive a confirmation and the booking is final.
The remaining payment must be made no later than 6 weeks before arrival. When booking within 4 weeks before arrival, the total rent must be paid immediately.

It may happen that you have to cancel the holiday due to unforeseen circumstances.

Casa Maliyaa is located in the middle of rural Spanish life. From the casita you have a fantastic view over the valley of Vélez-Málaga, the capital of the Axarquía region and still relatively undiscovered. Vélez-Málaga is a city with a great history, a lot of history, culture and only a 15-minute drive from our casa. Definitely worth a visit in our opinion.
The Mediterranean Sea is clearly visible from Casa Maliyaa and in 25 minutes you can relax on the beach of Torre del Mar. Torre del Mar is the coastal town of Vélez-Málaga.
Casa Maliyaa is a 5-minute drive from the white mountain villages of Almáchar and El Borge. These mountain villages are still largely authentic and completely Spanish. Almáchar is a lively village and the area is best known for its famous moscatel grapes. You can drink a café con leche on the terrace between the Spaniards and experience village life for yourself. In the early evening, the farmers of the country come to chat with each other while enjoying a drink and some tapas. There is a neighborhood supermarket and several small restaurants.
In Vélez-Málaga and Torre del Mar you will find the 'trendy' restaurants and chirinquitos (beach bars) and the larger supermarkets. On Thursday you have the daily market. The coastline from Torre del Mar to Nerja is fantastic. You can rent a bike in Torre del Mar and experience the coastline with a sea breeze or take a leisurely tour in the car and take in the surroundings. In between you will come across Caleta de Velez, Algarobba costa, El Morche and Torrox costa and it is wonderful to relax on the beach with a drink.
Closer by, you can take beautiful walks with us and enjoy nature and life in the 'campo' (the countryside). There is even a hiking trail behind our house, called the 'Ruta Lomas de Cutar'. Follow the path and you will feel 'On top of the World' with spectacular panoramic views. On one side you see Comares, which is at an altitude of 900 meters and on the other side is the imposing mountain of La Maroma (2080m) and you look out over the Mediterranean Sea. Of course we can give even more tips about walking routes or running routes in the area. Even as a mountain biker there are more than enough challenges here.
The Rio Chillar near Nerja is one of our favorite walks. Walking through the river bed, especially in the warmer months, is wonderfully refreshing.
Málaga is a 45-minute drive away and Granada is 1.5 hours away. In the winter months you could walk in the snow in the Sierra Nevada during the day and sit on the beach with a cocktail at the end of the day.
Casa Maliyaa is only accessible by car and is located 45 minutes from Málaga airport. It is a passable, paved road through the mountains with mango- and avocado plantations. This road brings you to our Casa, which is located at an altitude of 400 meters. A few days before arrival we will send the correct coordinates and directions.
Would you like to discover our surroundings in a different way? Then you have the option to drive to Vélez Málaga, park your car at the bus station and take the bus to Málaga or Nerja. The buses run very frequently and the price for a ticket is very low. Definitely recommended if you want to enjoy the area during the trip.
